GAMMELHOTELLET

-accomodation between fjords and mountains in Olderdalen-

March 2006 we did a freeskiing trip to Olderdalen in Kåfjord. There locates for example mountains Giilavarre and Nordmannviktind. Last time when we were in Olderdalen we spent the night at our friends, but this time we decided to stay in a local hotel. It is pretty nice to get your clothes and other equipments to dry after skiing day. We got our room by e-mail really quickly from Gammelhotellet.

We got 60m² apartment from the hotel, which had two bedrooms, a bathroom, and very spacy livingroom/kitchen combination. One thing that makes the Gammelhotellet very nice is the location! Straight from the yard you can go in to the ferry and go to other side of the fjord to Lyngen. Other side of the hotel are beautiful mountains of Olderadalen and great opportunities for natur activities. We were also very happy for the space we had in hotel and there is also store and gasstation nearby.

We warmly recommend the Gammelhotellet if you are moving in Olderdalen or nearby! Tsaibma.com

Here are the greetings from Gammelhotellet to tsaibma.com visitors:

"Gammelhotellet AS was founded in 2003 and the first two years we had only fishermans. Every year we are also having finnish customers, who like to fish and wonder around the mountains and our location is not so far from the highest mountain of Finland: HALTI.

We have build everything like new and we hope that our customers are satisfied when they are visiting in Gammelhotellet. This winter we have had skiers from: Italy, Sweden, France, Germany and many from Finland too. Next year we wil arrange Topptour 2007 (march/april). We will be doing trips to all the best 6 skiingtopps and every trip will be made with the local guide. We are hoping that many finnish skiers will visit in Olderdalen, because many of Olderdalen people has finnish roots." Best wishes: Øistein Berg
